Safety and value
Is Cardio Clear 7 Safe and Effective? 2 Questions, 2 Answers
Safe and effective are two separate questions. For safety, CoQ10 is usually well tolerated, but it can interact with warfarin and some other medicines, and pregnant or nursing women should skip this capsule. For effectiveness, no trial has tested the capsule, so the honest answer is not proven.

01At a glance
Key facts
- Safety: CoQ10 is usually well tolerated and no serious side effects are reported in the sources we use.
- Mild effects can include trouble sleeping, nausea, diarrhea, upper stomach pain, dizziness, headache or rash.
- Warfarin, blood pressure medicine, insulin or other diabetes medicine and statins call for a doctor check first.
- The info page says the product is not intended for pregnant or nursing women, and it is sold for adults.
- Effectiveness: no trial of the capsule exists, so the answer is not proven.
- Long-term data on PQQ and shilajit are thin.
02Two questions
Is Cardio Clear 7 safe, and is it effective?
Keep the two questions apart. A product can be safe and still do nothing you can measure. And a product can look promising on paper and still be wrong for you.
| Question | Short answer | How sure |
|---|---|---|
| Safe for most healthy adults? | Probably, at one capsule a day | Moderate, from CoQ10 research; thin for PQQ and shilajit |
| Safe with prescribed medicines? | Ask first | Real interactions exist |
| Safe in pregnancy or while nursing? | No, the brand says not intended | Brand warning |
| Effective for heart health? | Unproven | No trial of the capsule |
| Effective for blood pressure? | Mixed for CoQ10 alone | Two reviews disagree |
| Effective for cholesterol? | No support in our sources | No cholesterol effect found for CoQ10 |
The rest of this page explains each line.
03Safety
Is Cardio Clear 7 safe to take every day?
For a healthy adult, the CoQ10 in it has a decent record. NCCIH says CoQ10 is usually well tolerated and that no serious side effects have been reported (NCCIH - Coenzyme Q10). The usual complaints are mild: stomach upset, nausea, loose stools, poor sleep, dizziness, headache or a rash (Mayo Clinic - Coenzyme Q10).
The caution is about what else you take. The directions on the info page say to consult your doctor before use if you take any medication. We agree.
Safety data for the other two actives are weaker. A 2024 review calls long-term PQQ safety data scarce (Yan 2024 - PQQ review). Shilajit trials were short and small, with no adverse events reported in healthy men in the strength study (Keller 2019 - shilajit strength RCT).
Quantity matters as well. Stay at one capsule a day. Two would double every ingredient, including the two with the least safety data.
04Medicines
Which medicines call for a doctor check first?
| If you take | Why it matters | Ask |
|---|---|---|
| Warfarin | CoQ10 may make it work less well; bleeding has also been reported | Is it safe, and when should my INR be rechecked? |
| A statin | Statins lower your own CoQ10 | Would CoQ10 help me, and should my statin stay as it is? |
| Blood pressure medicine | CoQ10 may add to its effect | Should I log home readings while I try it? |
| Insulin or diabetes pills | CoQ10 may change how the body uses insulin | Do I need extra sugar checks? |
| Theophylline | CoQ10 may slow how fast the body clears it | Is a level check needed? |
Medicines that were prescribed for you keep their place, and only your doctor moves them. Bring the bottle to your pharmacist so they can run a full interaction check (NCI PDQ - Coenzyme Q10) (MSKCC - Coenzyme Q10).
05Who should wait
Who should not take Cardio Clear 7?
- Pregnant or nursing women. The info page says it is not intended for them (Cardio Clear 7 info page).
- Anyone under 18. It is sold for adults, and nothing covers use by children.
- Anyone with chest pain now, or a reading over 180/120 with symptoms. Call 911.
- Anyone with a planned surgery or a bleeding disorder, until a doctor has looked at the label.
Sudden chest pain, trouble breathing or pain moving into the neck or arm is an emergency, so call 911 at once.

06Effectiveness
Is Cardio Clear 7 effective?
The word needs a trial, and there is none for the capsule. What we have is mixed evidence for one ingredient. A Cochrane review of 2 trials with 50 people found no clinically significant blood pressure effect (Cochrane - CoQ10 and hypertension). A 2022 review of 26 trials found about 4.8 mmHg lower systolic pressure in people with heart or metabolic conditions (Zhao 2022 - CoQ10 BP dose-response).
For cholesterol, our sources show no effect from CoQ10. For cellular energy, the case rests on how cells work, not on a trial of tiredness in healthy adults.
A fair label for the capsule is modest and unproven. It could suit you if you want a simple CoQ10 habit and keep your expectations low.
07Good for you?
So, is Cardio Clear 7 good for you?
Fair reasons to try it
- You want CoQ10 at a studied amount, 100 mg
- You like one capsule a day
- You prefer a plant-based shell
- You value a long refund window
Poor reasons to try it
- You hope to come off a statin or blood pressure pill
- You want to treat high cholesterol or high blood pressure
- An ad scared you about hidden heart risks
- You expect big effects from 80 mg of shilajit or 10 mg of PQQ
Habits matter more than any capsule. The AHA lists eight measures for heart health, from diet and activity to sleep, blood pressure and cholesterol (AHA - Life's Essential 8). A capsule can sit beside them, not in place of them.

09FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is Cardio Clear 7 safe?
For many healthy adults at one capsule a day, probably. It can interact with warfarin and some other medicines, so ask your doctor or pharmacist first if you take any.
Is Cardio Clear 7 safe to take daily?
One capsule a day is the listed dose. Long-term data for PQQ and shilajit are thin, so review it with your doctor if you plan to continue for many months.
Is Cardio Clear 7 effective?
Not proven. No trial has tested the capsule, and research on CoQ10 alone is mixed for blood pressure.
Would Cardio Clear 7 be a good fit for you?
It depends on your health, your medicines and your goals. It is a support product, not a treatment.
Who should not take it?
Pregnant or nursing women and anyone under 18. People on warfarin, a statin, blood pressure medicine or insulin should ask a doctor first.
What if I feel unwell after starting?
If a side effect lingers or worries you, stop the capsule and call your doctor. Call 911 for chest pain or trouble breathing.
10Bottom line
Our view
Safe and effective deserve different grades. On safety, Cardio Clear 7 earns a cautious pass for healthy adults who take no interacting medicines. On effectiveness, it earns an incomplete, because the test has not been run.
That is not a bad place to be, as long as you buy with open eyes. The 365-day guarantee lowers the money risk. A short chat with your pharmacist lowers the health risk.
Whatever you choose, treat your prescriptions as fixed until a clinician who knows you says they can change. Cardio Clear 7 is not FDA approved, and no dietary supplement is.
