Claims vs evidence
Cardio Clear 7 Benefits, Checked Against the Evidence
Cardio Clear 7 claims to support a healthy heart and cellular energy. Neither claim has been tested on the capsule. Its CoQ10 has mixed, modest human evidence, mostly in people with heart conditions. The shilajit booster idea comes from rats. The '3X' badge names no comparison, and the store's cholesterol and blood pressure wording has no trial behind it.

01The claims
What benefits does Cardio Clear 7 claim?
The claims come from four places, and they get stronger the further they sit from the bottle.
- The bottle: "Supports a Healthy Heart*" and "Helps Maintain Healthy Cellular Energy*".
- A brand photo: a badge reading "Contains 3X the power & nutrients for a healthy heart".
- The store listing: shilajit "boosts the efficiency of CoQ10", plus wording about regulating cholesterol and normalizing blood pressure (Simple Promise store listing).
- The ads: bonus reports, media logos and video frames. Those are covered in our guide to reading heart supplement ads.
We quote each claim, then show the best evidence we could find. A claim we cannot check is marked that way, not filled in.
02Four claims
How do the four main claims hold up?
Brand wording on the left of each panel, the evidence on the right.
Bottle claimBrand says“Supports a Healthy Heart*”
What the evidence saysNo trial has tested this capsule. CoQ10 alone had no clear blood pressure effect in Cochrane and about 4.8 mmHg systolic in a 2022 review of 26 trials. (Cochrane - CoQ10 and hypertension) (Zhao 2022 - CoQ10 BP dose-response)
Bottle claimBrand says“Helps Maintain Healthy Cellular Energy*”
What the evidence saysCoQ10 is part of the energy chain in mitochondria; that is biology, not proof a 100 mg capsule changes how you feel. NCCIH finds the heart evidence inconclusive. (NCCIH - Coenzyme Q10) (NCI PDQ - Coenzyme Q10)
Badge on a brand photoBrand says“Contains 3X the power & nutrients for a healthy heart”
What the evidence saysNo comparison is named, so '3X' cannot be checked. The kiwi in the photo is not an ingredient; the capsules are printed 'Co Q10'. (FTC - Health Products Compliance Guide)
Store listingBrand says“Shilajit boosts the efficiency of CoQ10”
What the evidence saysRat and test-tube work: an isolated shilajit compound with CoQ10 raised liver CoQ, not heart levels. Human shilajit trials used 250-500 mg; the capsule has 80 mg. (Bhattacharyya 2009 - shilajit and CoQ) (Keller 2019 - shilajit strength RCT)
03Heart support
Does Cardio Clear 7 support a healthy heart?
Not in any way that has been measured. The claim is legal structure/function wording, but no study has tested this capsule on any heart marker.
Its CoQ10 has a mixed record. NCCIH says it probably has no meaningful effect on blood pressure and that the heart failure research is inconclusive (NCCIH - Coenzyme Q10). Mayo Clinic says it "might" help, with mixed findings (Mayo Clinic - Coenzyme Q10). A 2022 review saw systolic readings about 4.77 points lower in people with heart or metabolic conditions (Zhao 2022 - CoQ10 BP dose-response).
The heart failure trial behind many ads used 300 mg a day in diagnosed patients (Q-SYMBIO trial - JACC HF 2014). Its death figures were secondary results, and the study had industry support (Healio - Q-SYMBIO results report). It says little about a healthy adult on 100 mg.
04Cell energy
Will Cardio Clear 7 give you more energy?
Probably not in a way you can feel. "Cellular energy" means the chemistry inside mitochondria, not the feeling of being less tired.
CoQ10 and PQQ both have roles in that chemistry (NCI PDQ - Coenzyme Q10) (Yan 2024 - PQQ review). A role in the body is not the same as a benefit from a pill. No study we found tested either one for everyday tiredness in healthy adults.
If low energy is new or getting worse, tell your doctor. Fatigue can come from thyroid, blood count, sleep or heart problems that need a real check.
05The 3X badge
What does the '3X' badge actually compare?
Nothing that the ad names. "3X the power" needs a second product to measure against, and none is given. It could mean three ingredients, or three times some other product. Without a comparison, the claim cannot be checked.
The FTC expects health claims to rest on competent and reliable scientific evidence (FTC - Health Products Compliance Guide). A number with no reference point does not meet that bar.
The photo also shows kiwi halves. Kiwi is not an ingredient. The real actives are CoQ10, shilajit extract and PQQ, 190 mg in all.

See packs06Store wording
What about the store's cholesterol and blood pressure wording?
No trial supports it for this product. The store copy talks about regulating cholesterol and normalizing blood pressure (Simple Promise store listing). Wording about an effect on a disease, such as high cholesterol or hypertension, reads like a disease claim under 21 CFR 101.93(g) (21 CFR 101.93 - Supplement statements). This is how we read the rule; FDA has not ruled on this product.
Our sources show no cholesterol effect for CoQ10 at all. The FTC has acted against heart supplement sellers whose cholesterol and blood pressure promises were not backed by evidence (FTC v Health Research Labs - heart).
Keep taking prescribed medicine; never stop or change it because of a supplement. Statins and blood pressure drugs have large trials behind them (MedlinePlus - Statins). Learn your blood pressure numbers.
07Scorecard
Which Cardio Clear 7 benefits have human evidence?
| Claimed benefit | Where | Best human evidence | Our rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Healthy heart | Bottle | CoQ10 reviews split (Cochrane - CoQ10 and hypertension) (Zhao 2022 - CoQ10 BP dose-response) | Mixed |
| Cellular energy | Bottle | Biology only; no tiredness trials | Unshown |
| Shilajit boosts CoQ10 | Store | None; rats and test tubes (Bhattacharyya 2009 - shilajit and CoQ) | Animal only |
| "3X the power" | Brand photo | No comparison named | Cannot check |
| Cholesterol and blood pressure | Store copy | No product trial; no cholesterol effect in our sources | Unsupported |
| Statin users' CoQ10 levels | Not claimed | Statins lower blood CoQ10 (Qu 2018 - Statins lower CoQ10 levels) | Real, but limited |
08Statin users
Is there a real benefit for people on statins?
Possibly a narrow one, and the brand does not even claim it. Statins lower the body's CoQ10, a finding across 12 trials with 1,776 people (Qu 2018 - Statins lower CoQ10 levels).
Whether topping it up eases statin muscle aches is unsettled. One review of six trials found no benefit (Banach 2015 - CoQ10 statin myopathy). Another of twelve trials found less pain, but the results varied widely (Qu 2018 JAHA - CoQ10 statin symptoms). Read CoQ10 and statins before you ask your doctor.
09Fair view
What is a fair way to judge the benefits?
Judge it as a 100 mg CoQ10 capsule with two small extras. That is a common, sensible dose with modest, mixed evidence. The bigger promises in the ads belong to the marketing, not the research.
10FAQ
Questions about Cardio Clear 7 benefits
Can CoQ10 help with high cholesterol?
Our sources show no cholesterol benefit from CoQ10. Its research focuses on blood pressure, heart failure and statin side effects (NCCIH - Coenzyme Q10). High cholesterol has no symptoms, so only a blood test shows your level (CDC - About Cholesterol). Ask your doctor how often to test and which treatment fits you.
Does CoQ10 help statin muscle pain?
The evidence is split. A review of six trials found no real benefit (Banach 2015 - CoQ10 statin myopathy), while a review of twelve small trials found less pain with very mixed results (Qu 2018 JAHA - CoQ10 statin symptoms). NCCIH says the evidence does not support it (NCCIH - Coenzyme Q10). Report muscle pain to your doctor rather than treating it alone.
Is Cardio Clear 7 legit or just hype?
It is a real product with a clear label, a common CoQ10 dose and a 365-day money-back guarantee. The marketing is the weak part: an animal-based booster claim, a '3X' badge with no comparison, and cholesterol and blood pressure wording with no trial behind it.
Does shilajit boost CoQ10 in humans?
No human study shows it. The claim traces to work in rats, four per group, and test tubes (Bhattacharyya 2009 - shilajit and CoQ). A purified shilajit compound raised coenzyme Q in rat livers, while heart levels barely changed. Cardio Clear 7 uses 80 mg of a whole extract, not that compound.
Is Cardio Clear 7 good for heart failure?
It has not been tested for heart failure and should never replace heart failure treatment. The Q-SYMBIO trial used 300 mg of CoQ10 a day alongside standard care (Q-SYMBIO trial - JACC HF 2014), three times this capsule's dose. If you have heart failure, any supplement plan belongs with your cardiologist.
What does 3X mean on Cardio Clear 7?
The ad does not say. The badge reads "Contains 3X the power & nutrients for a healthy heart" but names nothing to compare against, so it cannot be checked. The kiwi in the same photo is not an ingredient. The capsule's actives are CoQ10, shilajit extract and PQQ.
