01At a glance
What are the three active ingredients in Cardio Clear 7?
The actives are CoQ10, shilajit extract and PQQ. CoQ10 is the lead ingredient by weight and by research. The other two together weigh less than the CoQ10 alone.
The amounts come from the official Simple Promise store listing (Simple Promise store listing). Compare them with the panel on your own bottle; the supplement facts page walks through the label line by line.

The five other ingredients are standard capsule materials. Hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose is the plant-based shell. The rest fill space, help powder flow and stop clumping (Simple Promise store listing).
03Amounts
How do the amounts compare with research doses?
One row per ingredient: what the capsule holds next to what studies of that ingredient alone used.
| Ingredient | Per capsule | Amount used in research | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) | 100 mg | 100-200 mg a day in blood pressure trials; 300 mg a day in the Q-SYMBIO heart-failure trial (NCCIH - Coenzyme Q10) (Cochrane - CoQ10 and hypertension) (Zhao 2022 - CoQ10 BP dose-response) (Q-SYMBIO trial - JACC HF 2014) | Mixed: no clear blood pressure effect in Cochrane; about 4.8 mmHg systolic in a 2022 review |
| Shilajit Extract | 80 mg | 250-500 mg a day of a branded purified extract in small human trials (Bhattacharyya 2009 - shilajit and CoQ) (Keller 2019 - shilajit strength RCT) (Pandit trial - shilajit testosterone) (Examine - Shilajit evidence summary) | Preliminary: small, supplier-funded trials; no heart studies |
| PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone Disodium Salt) | 10 mg | 20 mg a day in a 12-week memory trial (Food Funct 2023 - PQQ 20 mg trial) (Yan 2024 - PQQ review) | Thin: mostly animal and lab work; no heart trials found |
| Other ingredients | Not listed by weight | Cellulose, Hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (capsule), Vegetable stearic acid, Vegetable magnesium stearate, Silicon dioxide | Inactive: they hold and shape the powder |
Only CoQ10 lands inside a studied range. Its best blood pressure range was about 100 to 200 mg a day (Zhao 2022 - CoQ10 BP dose-response). Shilajit at 80 mg is under a third of the smallest dose in human trials (Keller 2019 - shilajit strength RCT). PQQ at 10 mg is half the amount in the one trial we found (Food Funct 2023 - PQQ 20 mg trial).
04CoQ10
Why is CoQ10 the main ingredient?
CoQ10 leads because it has the most human data of the three. Researchers have tested it for blood pressure, heart failure and statin side effects.
The form matters a little. The capsules are printed with ubidecarenone, another name for ubiquinone. That is the oxidized form used in most studies, including Q-SYMBIO (Q-SYMBIO trial - JACC HF 2014). Read ubiquinone vs ubiquinol for the difference.
05Shilajit
What is shilajit, and why is it in a heart formula?
Shilajit is a dark, tar-like pitch that seeps from mountain rock. It is used in Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India. It is in the formula because the store says it helps CoQ10 work, an idea that rests on rat and test-tube work (Bhattacharyya 2009 - shilajit and CoQ).
Its few human trials used 250 to 500 mg a day and measured strength and testosterone, not the heart (Keller 2019 - shilajit strength RCT) (Pandit trial - shilajit testosterone).
Purity is the bigger question. Of 193 Ayurvedic products bought online, 20.7% had lead, mercury or arsenic (Saper 2008 JAMA - Ayurvedic metals). A 2024 test of eight shilajit supplements found none above levels of concern (ConsumerLab 2024 - shilajit tests). The extract standard and a lab report for Cardio Clear 7 are not published. See packs06PQQ
What does PQQ add at 10 mg?
PQQ adds a second "cell energy" ingredient, at a small dose with little research behind it.
FDA's "no questions" letters on PQQ disodium salt cover drinks at up to 8 mg and up to 20 mg a serving (FDA GRN 625 - PQQ disodium salt) (FDA GRN 641 - PQQ disodium salt). They are not a review of this capsule. The one human trial we found used 20 mg a day for memory and was paid for by the PQQ maker (Food Funct 2023 - PQQ 20 mg trial).
A 2024 review calls the safety data scarce and says drug interactions are not well studied (Yan 2024 - PQQ review). More in PQQ explained.

08Not in the bottle
What is not in Cardio Clear 7?
Some things in the ads are not in the capsule. The kiwi in one brand photo is a prop, not an ingredient.
- No caffeine or other stimulant is listed.
- No ubiquinol form is listed; the capsules say ubidecarenone.
- No allergen statement appears in the store listing.

09Our read
Where is the formula strong, and where is it thin?
Clear and simple
Every active has a stated amount. CoQ10 is at a dose used in real trials. The shell is plant-based.
Small add-ons, open questions
Shilajit and PQQ sit well under their studied doses. The "booster" claim is animal work. No lab report or extract standard is published.
Keep taking prescribed medicine; never stop or change it because of a supplement. On warfarin, a statin, or blood pressure or diabetes medicine? Ask your doctor or pharmacist first (MedlinePlus - Statins).
10FAQ
Questions about Cardio Clear 7 ingredients
What is shilajit made of?
Shilajit is a sticky mineral pitch that forms in mountain rock over long periods, mostly from broken-down plant matter. Supplements use a dried extract. Its main studied parts include fulvic acid and small compounds such as dibenzo-alpha-pyrones (Bhattacharyya 2009 - shilajit and CoQ) (ConsumerLab 2024 - shilajit tests). Cardio Clear 7 lists 80 mg of extract per capsule.
Is PQQ safe to take every day?
Short-term use looks well tolerated in small studies, but long-term safety data are scarce (Yan 2024 - PQQ review). FDA's letters on PQQ cover drinks at up to 20 mg a serving, not capsules (FDA GRN 641 - PQQ disodium salt). Each Cardio Clear 7 capsule holds 10 mg. Ask your doctor if you take several medicines.
Does Cardio Clear 7 use ubiquinol or ubiquinone?
It uses ubiquinone, the common form of CoQ10. The capsules are printed with ubidecarenone, its chemical name. Most CoQ10 trials, including the 300 mg heart failure trial, used ubiquinone (Q-SYMBIO trial - JACC HF 2014). Ubiquinol costs more, and the store listing does not mention it (Simple Promise store listing).
Is Cardio Clear 7 vegetarian?
The capsule shell is plant cellulose, and the store lists vegetable stearic acid and vegetable magnesium stearate (Simple Promise store listing). A brand badge says vegetarian, though no certifier is named. CoQ10, shilajit and PQQ are not animal-derived. Check the panel on your bottle if this matters to you.
Does Cardio Clear 7 contain heavy metals?
No lab report has been published, so nobody outside the maker can say. Shilajit is the one to watch. Some Ayurvedic products have carried lead, mercury or arsenic (Saper 2008 JAMA - Ayurvedic metals). A 2024 test of eight shilajit products found none above levels of concern (ConsumerLab 2024 - shilajit tests).
Why is there so little shilajit in Cardio Clear 7?
The brand has not explained the 80 mg amount. Human shilajit trials used 250 to 500 mg a day (Keller 2019 - shilajit strength RCT), so one capsule holds less than a third of the smallest studied dose. The shilajit is marketed as a CoQ10 helper, not as a main active.
