Cardio Clear 7 Side Effects: 3 Ingredients, 4 Drug Groups to Check
Cardio Clear 7 side effects come from its three ingredients, because no study has tested the finished capsule itself. CoQ10 can cause mild nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, poor sleep, headache, dizziness or rash. Four drug groups need a doctor’s view before you start: blood thinners, blood pressure drugs, insulin or diabetes drugs, and statins. Pregnant or nursing women should not take it.

01At a glance
Key facts
- No safety study of the finished capsule is published. What we know comes from each ingredient alone.
- CoQ10 (100 mg a capsule): mild effects such as nausea, diarrhea, upper stomach pain, heartburn, poor sleep, headache, dizziness or rash. NCI also notes raised liver enzymes.
- Shilajit (80 mg): a small 8-week trial of 250-500 mg reported no adverse events. PQQ (10 mg): safety and long-term data are scarce.
- Ask a doctor first if you take warfarin or another blood thinner, blood pressure medicine, insulin or other diabetes medicine, or a statin.
- The brand info page says it is not intended for pregnant or nursing women.
- Chest pain, pain in the arm, back, neck or jaw, shortness of breath or a cold sweat means call 911.
02The big picture
Has Cardio Clear 7 itself been tested for side effects?
No. We found no trial, safety study or adverse event report for the finished capsule. That is true for most supplements, but it limits what anyone can say.
What exists is research on each ingredient alone. For CoQ10, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health says no serious side effects have been reported (NCCIH - Coenzyme Q10). For shilajit and PQQ the records are thinner.
So read everything below as a map of what could happen, not a count of what did happen to people taking this product.
03By ingredient
Which side effects are reported for each ingredient?
| Ingredient (per capsule) | Reported effects | Source |
|---|---|---|
| CoQ10 (100 mg) | Nausea, diarrhea, upper stomach pain, heartburn, loss of appetite | (Mayo Clinic - Coenzyme Q10) (MSKCC - Coenzyme Q10) |
| CoQ10 (100 mg) | Trouble sleeping, headache, dizziness, rash | (NCCIH - Coenzyme Q10) (NCI PDQ - Coenzyme Q10) |
| CoQ10 (100 mg) | Raised liver enzymes | (NCI PDQ - Coenzyme Q10) |
| Shilajit extract (80 mg) | No adverse events in a small 8-week trial at 250-500 mg | (Keller 2019 - shilajit strength RCT) |
| PQQ (10 mg) | Safety and long-term data scarce | (Yan 2024 - PQQ review) |
| Capsule and other ingredients | No effects listed | Not published |
Most of the listed effects are mild. They are also the kind that many pills cause, so a new stomach upset does not prove the capsule is the cause.
04Everyday effects
Can Cardio Clear 7 upset your stomach or keep you awake?
It can, in some people, because both effects are listed for CoQ10. Think of two simple levers: food and timing.
- Take the capsule with a meal. The store says to take it with a meal, and a meal can soften stomach upset.
- If sleep gets worse, move the capsule to breakfast or lunch.
- Write down the date and the symptom. A short note helps your doctor.
- If an effect does not ease within a few days, stop and ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Dizziness deserves a second look. Mayo Clinic says CoQ10 might affect blood pressure (Mayo Clinic - Coenzyme Q10). If you feel faint, sit down, stop the capsule and call your doctor.
05Medicines
Which 4 medicine groups need a doctor's view before you start?
Blood thinners
CoQ10 might make warfarin work less well, and bleeding has been reported with the pair. Your INR may need extra checks (Mayo Clinic - Coenzyme Q10) (MSKCC - Coenzyme Q10).
Blood pressure drugs
CoQ10 may add to blood pressure medicine. NCI notes that those drugs may lessen CoQ10's own effects (NCI PDQ - Coenzyme Q10). Dizziness is worth reporting.
Insulin and diabetes drugs
CoQ10 may change how the body uses insulin (NCI PDQ - Coenzyme Q10). Check your sugar readings more often in the first weeks.
The fourth group is statins. Statins lower the body's own CoQ10 (Qu 2018 - Statins lower CoQ10 levels). Whether adding CoQ10 eases statin muscle aches is unsettled, and the trials disagree (Banach 2015 - CoQ10 statin myopathy) (Qu 2018 JAHA - CoQ10 statin symptoms).
Memorial Sloan Kettering also notes that CoQ10 may slow how fast the body clears theophylline, a lung medicine (MSKCC - Coenzyme Q10).
Never stop or change a prescribed drug because of a supplement. The right order is to ask first, then decide together with your doctor.

06Who should skip it
Who should not take Cardio Clear 7?
Some groups should wait or get a clear yes from a clinician first.
- Pregnant or nursing women. The brand info page says it is not intended for them (Cardio Clear 7 info page). Mayo Clinic also advises avoiding CoQ10 in pregnancy without a clinician's approval.
- Children. The capsule is sold for adults and no data cover children.
- Anyone on warfarin or another blood thinner, unless their doctor agrees.
- People with planned surgery, until they ask their surgeon.
- People with liver disease, because of the NCI note on liver enzymes.

07Purity
Is there a heavy metal risk in the shilajit?
The risk is real for the category, and no lab report is published for this product. Shilajit comes from mountain rock. A JAMA study found lead, mercury or arsenic in 20.7% of 193 Ayurvedic products sold online (Saper 2008 JAMA - Ayurvedic metals).
The other side of the story is better. ConsumerLab tested eight shilajit supplements in 2024 and found none above levels of concern at one daily dose (ConsumerLab 2024 - shilajit tests). That says nothing about a brand it did not test.
Cardio Clear 7 has 80 mg of shilajit extract a capsule. The lot code on the site is a seller reference, not a test result. You can ask the store for a lab report that matches your lot.
08Emergencies
When is a symptom an emergency instead of a side effect?
Some signs are never a supplement question. Chest pain or pressure, pain in the arm, back, neck or jaw, shortness of breath, a cold sweat, nausea or light-headedness can mean a heart attack. Call 911 (AHA - Heart Attack Warning Signs).
A blood pressure reading over 180/120 with symptoms is also a 911 call (AHA - Understanding BP Readings).
For milder problems, stop the capsule and call your doctor or pharmacist. You can also report a bad reaction to a supplement to the FDA through its MedWatch program.

10FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What are the side effects of Cardio Clear 7?
No study covers the finished capsule. For CoQ10, reported effects include nausea, diarrhea, upper stomach pain, heartburn, poor sleep, headache, dizziness and rash. Most are mild.
Is Cardio Clear 7 safe to take every day?
The directions give one capsule a day. For healthy adults the ingredients have a mild record at these amounts, but long-term data on PQQ are scarce and the product has no safety study.
Can Cardio Clear 7 cause insomnia?
It can for some people, because trouble sleeping is a reported CoQ10 effect. Moving the capsule to breakfast or lunch often helps. If poor sleep lasts, stop and ask your doctor.
Can I take Cardio Clear 7 with warfarin?
Only with your doctor's approval and closer INR checks. CoQ10 might make warfarin work less well, and bleeding has been reported with the pair.
Is Cardio Clear 7 safe with blood pressure or diabetes medicine?
Ask your doctor first. CoQ10 may add to blood pressure medicine and may change how the body uses insulin. Keep taking prescribed drugs and watch your readings.
Is Cardio Clear 7 safe while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. The brand info page says it is not intended for pregnant or nursing women, and Mayo Clinic advises avoiding CoQ10 in pregnancy without a clinician's approval.
11Bottom line
Our view
Here is the fair summary. The ingredients have a mild record in short studies, with a few clear flags. The flags are medicines, pregnancy, and the lack of a published lab report for the shilajit.
If you are healthy, take no medicine and want to try it, the practical steps are small. Take one capsule with a meal, keep notes, and stop if something feels wrong. If you are on any of the four medicine groups, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before the first capsule, not after.
A refund is available if the capsule does not suit you, but your health comes first. Cardio Clear 7 is not FDA approved, and no dietary supplement is. Do not use it in place of care for high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease.
